Three things I love (aside of my family and friends) are travel, food and wine. But let me tell you, it’s a lethal combination of weight gain! I seriously can’t be the only one who suffers from traveling and enjoying good food and great wine. It never fails,I come back home from a trip and I feel as if someone attached a huge 5 pound watermelon to my belly!
I’m not one to save money on food when traveling. In fact, I believe I should indulge even more! So bring on the 12oz filet mignon smothered in bearnaise sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and creme brulee for dessert! Oh, I forgot to mentioned, yes I indulged in the bread, ordered the calamari for an appetizer and had two glasses of wine!
Any time I travel, I eat all meals out. I’m not the type to rent a condo so I can cook a few meals and save a few bucks. I am on vacation, right? I’ve read tips on how not to gain weight while traveling but really, woman can not live on granola alone! I could offer you wise words like drink water, share a meal or eat salads, but that’s not me! My philosophy is life is meant to be lived and sometimes that means savoring the tasty morsels and enjoying a glass or two or wine!
